We expect students to demonstrate integrity by speaking and acting honestly, especially when it is hard; students are expected to own their mistakes and work towards restorative action.

Community. We believe that the connections among us provide wisdom and strength. We expect students to speak up when something is not right, to advocate for HDS’s mission and values with their peers, teachers, and families. 

Growth. We believe that our ongoing growth as individuals fulfills an obligation to ourselves and to each other. We expect all students to make mistakes, and get into conflicts. We also expect them to partner with us as we support their growth and efforts to be the best they can be.

Harford Day is the only PK3 to Grade 8 independent school in Harford County accredited by AIMS (Association of Independent Maryland/DC Schools) and a member of NAIS (National Association of Independent Schools).
