Full-Time Spanish Teacher - Grades 6-7
Harford Day School - an independent, co-ed, PreK 3 - 8th Grade school located in Bel Air, Maryland (Harford County) - is seeking an educator to teach Spanish classes to students in Grades 6 and 7 beginning in August, 2025.  Prior experience teaching and proficiency in the Spanish language are required. The ideal candidate is enthusiastic, energetic, possesses a love of working with middle school children, and is willing to teach as a member of a team.  Job hours are 7:45 a.m.-3:45 p.m. daily. Interest in coaching after-school sports and / or moderating extracurricular activities is a plus. Compensation is based on experience. Salary: Harford Day School’s salary and benefits are competitive and include medical, vision, dental insurance, and a retirement plan. Salary range is $45,000 to $55,000 based on skills and prior experience.

Position Description: Admissions Counselor 
The Admissions Counselor position requires a highly organized, collegial individual adept at managing administrative responsibilities and working with a diversity of people. The successful candidate will support a fast-paced, team-oriented environment and seamlessly transition between tasks ranging from data management to working with prospective students and families, and coordinating events.
The Admissions Counselor is expected to provide outstanding customer service to prospective and current school families in-person, on the telephone, and via electronic communication. He or she is expected to also have the basic information necessary to answer frequently asked questions to better serve school community members with various inquiries. 

Admissions Counselor Responsibilities
Admissions Marketing and Communications
  • Train and manage 8th Grade Admissions Ambassadors.
  • Represent the school to prospective families and conduct campus tours.
  • Understand and communicate the Harford Day School Mission and EPIC-G Values
  • Demonstrate the ability to work sensitively with a diversity of people and handle confidential information with discretion.
  • Contribute to the development of marketing materials (online and print), propose creative and innovative initiatives to attract and retain students and families, and possess a desire to remain current with admissions trends. 
Admissions Processes
  • Veracross responsibilities : data entry and reporting, including but not limited to:
    • Process admissions inquiries in Veracross and respond via email and/or telephone
    • Schedule prospective parent meetings, campus visits, and student assessments using Veracross and Google Calendar
    • Set-up and proctor ISEE admissions testing
    • Scan and upload application documents to Veracross
    • Assist with the review of admission application credentials, document pertinent information in Veracross, prepare applications for review upon completion, and record decisions. 

Admissions Events
  • Maintain guest lists & RSVPs for admissions events
  • Reserve, set-up and clean-up event space(s), and create name tags
  • Obtain and coordinate refreshments and/or catering for events
  • Coordinate admissions materials/gifts, and welcome guests
  • Ability to work occasional weekends, early mornings, and evenings to represent Admissions at special events or student testing.
Support Enrollment
  • Facilitate the creation of student records, and support the enrollment confirmation process. 
  • Create, maintain, and update the database of school contacts, including preschools and their directors, Realtors, local organization directors and other contacts, annually.
  • Request and track receipt of Final school records for new incoming students 

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field  
  • A minimum of three years' experience in an administrative position
  • High proficiency in Google Suite
  • Database management experience – Blackbaud/Veracross
  • Willingness to be trained in database management as necessary 
  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills  
  • Ability to present information concisely and effectively, both verbally and in writing  
  • Ability to organize and prioritize work, multi-task and manage time effectively 
  • Ability to work independently with little supervision  
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
