Prepared for the Future

Harford Day students generally gain admission to their first choice high school, many with scholarships. Our high school placement team works with students and their families to identify the best options and supports them throughout the admissions process. Harford Day hosts an annual high school fair with representatives from top private, public magnet, and boarding school programs.

    “As the saying goes, “The Proof is in the Pudding.”  The number one and number two students in the senior class are HDS graduates.  HDS students have a strong sense of self and a tremendous work ethic upon arriving at John Carroll. This allows them to be placed into classes such as Honors Algebra II, AP Human Geography, Honors Spanish II, and Honors Biology. These are classes typically reserved for Advanced Sophomore students or highly advanced Freshmen.”

They are used to a strong teacher-student connection, which is also fostered at SPSG.  The girls are also successful due to the leadership opportunities HDS gives its Middle School students. Harford Day is the only PK3 to Grade 8 independent school in Harford County accredited by AIMS (Association of Independent Maryland/DC Schools) and a member of NAIS (National Association of Independent Schools).
